UAB "Palangos linas" is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including persons with disabilities. This website has been designed and is continuously improved to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA requirements in accordance with European standard EN 301 549.

Conformance Status

This website partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We are continuously working to improve accessibility and remove any barriers. Last accessibility review conducted: March 2026.

Accessibility Features

This website includes the following accessibility features: a skip-to-content link allowing users to bypass repetitive navigation; semantic HTML markup (header, nav, main, article, section, footer) for screen reader support; consistent heading hierarchy (h1–h3) on every page; alternative text (alt) for all informative images; ARIA attributes (aria-label, aria-labelledby, aria-current, aria-expanded, aria-controls) for interactive elements; visible focus indicators (3px outline) on all interactive elements; full keyboard navigation without requiring a mouse; responsive design that works across all devices; form fields with properly associated labels; table headers with scope attributes in data tables; language attribute (lang) on the HTML element for each language; decorative elements hidden from screen readers (aria-hidden); accessible tab interface components with full ARIA support.

Keyboard Navigation

All website content is accessible using only a keyboard. Use the Tab key to navigate between elements, Enter or Space to activate, and Escape to close menus. The active element is always indicated by a visible outline.

Color Contrast

The website's color scheme has been selected to ensure text-to-background contrast meets WCAG 2.2 AA requirements: at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Information is never conveyed by color alone.

Screen Readers

The website is compatible with popular screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), and TalkBack (Android). Semantic HTML and ARIA markup are used to ensure content is understandable and well-structured.

Multilingual Support

The website is available in Lithuanian, English, and Russian. Each page has the correct language attribute (lang) so that screen readers can properly pronounce the content.

Testing

Website accessibility is tested using automated tools (axe, Lighthouse) and manual testing with keyboards and screen readers. We conduct regular accessibility reviews to ensure compliance with the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.

Known Limitations
